About Bir Billing
Bir is a small village in Kangra district (Himachal Pradesh) surrounding by the mountains and the beauty of nature. The Bir Billing Paragliding site is 14km from Bir with an elevation of 2400 Mt. It is praised for its natural beauty and one of the best paragliding sites in the world. There are also lots of natural tracks for trekking. Adventures people love to use these tracks for their sports activities and enjoy their life moments. There are tracks to Thamsar Pass, Bada Bhangal, and Brot Valley. This place is also full of beautiful and wild animals. You can also enjoy some time with wildlife also.

Travel Tips: Getting to Bir Billing
Bir Billing is 2nd in the world and best Paragliding site in the Asian region, Blessed with the great weather. It has also hosted two pre-Paragliding world cup and assigned to a World Cup Event in October 2015. In Winter you can enjoy snowfall here. It’s the best take-off site for Para-Riders with the very favorable wind condition. Here wind thermal is 6-12mtr/Sec, So it helps pilots to gain 4000mtr height easily.
The joint road for Bir is from Bir Road on NH-20, approximately midway between Baijnath and Jogindernagar. You can travel from Delhi to Baijnath (nearest station form Bir) within 12-13 hours via road. Baijnath is also known for 13th-century Vaidyanath Siva Temple (Hindu God). From there you can take a taxi or bus for directly to reach to Bir.
Gaggal Airport is the nearest airport if you want to travel via air. Then from the bus or taxi, you can reach Bir by 2 to 3 hours. Dharamshala has situated approximately 50 km from Bir.
If you want to travel via train, first you have to reach Pathankot Station. You can reach there from Delhi or Chandigarh. Then take the train (Pathankot to Jogindernagar) for the station named Paprola or Ahju (nearest station from Bir) before the last station Jogindernagar. The train consumes 10 hours approximately from Pathankot.
